Homework Tutors and Teen Tutors.
We are in desperate need of people to commit an hour or two a week to assist children with homework. This involves one on one time with a child and the commitment is very important. We need tutors for both primary school and high school grades.
If your teen has an hour or two to spare, this is a lovely social responsibility programme they can get involved in. Even reading to the nursery school children and babies.
Subjects include:
English, Maths, Afrikaans, Reading, Spelling.

Here is what you can do to start.
Play Dates…
Book a play date time with Susan Harris via the phone. We work with appointment times to accommodate the extramural activities of the kids at school. These play dates give our house mom’s a bit of time to do they things that they need to whilst you spend quality, one on one time or group time ,with the kids.
Come along for your play date. A few ideas…
Bring a couple of seedlings with you and you can spend a bit of time planting flowers with the kids. The kids will just love this exercise and the whole family gets to enjoy the beautiful flowers you have planted.
Come and play a game of bat and ball or soccer with the kids. This is is a great idea for visiting young children and teenagers to start getting involved.
Our babies would love a push around the property in a pram. Nothing like a nice long walk to get us out of the house.
Social and Fund Raising Events…
We are always looking for people to help us project-manage our social and fund-raising events. Please speak or email Susan about our Events calendar to see what events are coming.
Please note visiting hours WEEKDAYS 9 am-PM and SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS are by appointment only.
We need all your skills. Painting, water-proofing, gardening, electrical wiring, general maintenance, home-work tuition, PC maintenance and so on!!! An hour of your time and talent makes life so much easier for us.
Please check with Mike or Susan if your skill is required at that particular time. Book an appointment with Mike or Susan and come and give us a helping hand. We would so appreciate it!
